Title IX
The Jeff Tech joint operating procedure declares it to be the policy of this school to provide an equal opportunity for all students to achieve their maximum potential through the programs and activities offered in the school without discrimination on the basis of race, color, age, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, ancestry, national origin, marital status, pregnancy, or handicap/disability.
The Jeff Tech Joint Operating Committee also declares it to be the policy of this school to comply with federal law and regulations under Title IX prohibiting sexual harassment, which is a form of unlawful discrimination on the basis of sex. Such discrimination shall be referred to throughout Jeff Tech’s policy as Title IX sexual harassment. Inquiries regarding the application of Title IX to the school may be referred to the school’s Title IX coordinator, or to the assistant secretary for civil rights of the United States Department of Education, or both.
Title IX Information
Title IX is a federal law that prohibits discrimination in educational programs or activities that receive federal assistance on the basis of sex. Violations of Title IX include all forms of sexual or gender-based harassment. Title IX protects individuals of all genders and sexual orientations and applies to students, faculty, staff, independent contractors, school visitors, and other participants in educational programs and activities.
Jeff Tech has designated a Title IX Coordinator to comply with Title IX and other federal and state civil rights laws, and ensure that reports of sexual or gender-based harassment or misconduct are appropriately investigated by the school. Anyone having questions or concerns about their rights under Title IX or who believes that they have been the victim of sexual or gender-based harassment or misconduct, is encouraged to contact the schools' Title IX Coordinator.

Title IX Training Materials
The school is committed to the maintenance of a safe, positive learning environment for all students that is free from discrimination by providing all students course offerings, counseling, assistance, services, employment, and extracurricular activities without any form of discrimination, including Title IX sexual harassment. Discrimination is inconsistent with the rights of students and the educational and programmatic goals of the school and is prohibited at or, in the course of, school-sponsored programs or activities, including transportation to or from the school or school-sponsored activities.
Violations of this policy, including acts of retaliation as described in this policy, or knowingly providing false information, may result in disciplinary consequences under applicable Joint Operating Committee policy and procedures.
